What am I doing with a pony? Well, that's a very good question, one I often ask myself.
He's the son of my favorite Welsh pony mare, Molly, and a Welara stallion named Chip. Chip is 3/4 Arab and a quarter Welsh, so Vaughn is a true Welara (1/2 Arab, 1/2 Welsh) and he shows it. He's got a very cute face and a great attitude, now if he'd only grow a bit more. Right now he's just barely big enough for me to ride. It's actually quite comical. I had a young girl at the barn break him out for me and she did a terrific job. He walks, trots, canters on both leads and stands quite well. We have driven him a few times and he has taken to it very well. He has also started jumping small jumps both show jumping and cross country.
